My Ateez, and Hongjoong in particular, I hope you're able to see this in good faith and consider joining the boycotts against companies that support the ongoing genocide of Palestinians by the Israeli occupation... I've been an Atiny and Hongsami since 2019, and seeing Hongjoong's post with a St*rb*cks drink, however small it was, was very disappointing and saddening to see, especially with Hongjoong's history of being aware and speaking openly of social issues. As someone who has been seeing nearly constant first-hand experiences of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Strip since the current attacks started, has been learning about the horrific history of Israel's occupation of Palestine, and seeing my government continue to disregard human life so easily in favor of supplying more materials and money to the Israeli Occupation Forces, I feel very passionately about this topic. I know many, many others around the world do as well. Being honest, it really hurt seeing that St*rb*cks cup in his post, and I know other Atinys and non-Atinys alike are feeling the same way. Whether he knew about the boycott or not, a fault is a fault, and it's important to be informed about worldwide issues such as this one. While St*rb*cks is not included in the official BDS boycott list, there is call for a global boycott of their products because they've sued their union, St*rb*cks Workers United, for showing support for Palestine, as well as being anti-union in general. The CEO has also supported Israel (and therefore the occupation and colonization of Palestine) in the past. Despite St*rb*cks Korea being independent from the international brand, the influence you have as global idols cannot be understated. It's still a St*rb*cks drink, and it may encourage global fans of Ateez to purchase from St*rb*cks, and boycotting is the most effective way to punish the company for its oppressive system. As worldwide idols, it is very important to be sensitive to global issues, especially those which take so many innocent lives so violently, such as this one. KQ Entertainment and Ateez, I urge you to be aware of this boycott and to not be affiliated with St*rb*cks or any company contributing to the horrifying, inhumane genocide that the Israeli government and Occupation Forces are doing to Palestinians. I will attach some resources from a Korean account (@/pps_kr on Tw*tt*r). I hope that they might help you comprehend more easily. I love Ateez more than anything. All 8 members, and particularly Hongjoong, have been my muses, my inspiration, and my idols for 4 years now, and have helped me get through many, many hard times. This is why informing them of this is so important to me, and why I've typed up this lengthy post hoping that either a member or staff will take the time to read it and pass on the information, and hopefully take action. Palestine needs the support and solidarity of the world right now. It may seem like a few coffees and iced Americanos won't make a difference, but I assure you that is far from the case, especially with the influence of idols globally. Boycotting is one of the most effective ways of showing that we will not stand for the brutal ending of over 20,000 Palestinian lives at the hands of Israel occupation and colonization. Thank you for reading. ❤🖤💚 #ateez #hongjoong #seonghwa #yunho #yeosang #san #mingi #wooyoung #jongho
